First Office Family Vacation

So, the Holden Family went on their first official family vacation. We rented a cabin for a week in Ely, MN. It was my first time to Ely, MN and I LOVED it. As you can see in the picture we also hit the North Shore on the way home and went to Split Rock. Above is a slide show that shows plenty of photos from the vacation. The weather wasn't fantastic, but we found something to do everyday no matter what the weather was. One thing I did realize is that I am becoming one of those dorky parents that drag their kids to museums (All parents do it eventually). We hit the Dorthy Molter Museum, the Soudan Mines, and also the Wolf Center. The funny part is I actually enjoyed all of them. I just remember my parents taking me to places like that when I was a kid and not appreciating them enough. Eventually I guess you do! I would also love to say that we caught fish, but apparently it wasn't meant to be. The Holden Family had to go out for fish. Maeva did love to drive the boat more then actually fish. She also enjoyed a day of shopping with mom and enjoyed a daily nap with Daddy. I know that none of us wanted to come home and hope that we can go back next year.
